Face and Feet

Dress, Shoes, Necklace and Lipstick - Topshop // Socks - Urban Outfitters

This dress was one of those bargains that makes your year. I originally bought it full price and ended up taking it back as it just sat in the bag for way too long. I later on, months later on, decided I wanted it again and managed to hunt it down in my local Topshop. The best part being that it was £40 when I first bought it but online was now saying £18, but when I got to the shop ready to purchase my bargain of the month it had gone down to £10 BARGAIN OF THE YEAR!!!! I love the denim dresses that Topshop do, they are completely shapeless but that's me all over. I just can't justify seven dresses the same shape, all denim, just different patterns... but then again at £10 a pop I reckon I could.

Got any amazing bargains recently?!

Burgers and Fries

// Tee - Studded Petals // Jeans - American Apparal //

I spent another weekend in my AA high waist jeans. There so comfy, so easy to style and I love the 90's feel to them. I had Friday off and had such a beautiful day with my good friend Catherine shooting for her Uni work and ASOS shop (which I will link once it's up). I showed you all some of her work a bit ago, here, and I had just as much fun doing it a second time. You can bob over to her flickr (linked as her name) if you fancied a look at the shoot and all the other beautiful photographs Catherine takes.

Me and my little sister Phoebe went on a walk yesterday and had a picnic in some buttercups, discovered some pigs, thought we were trespassing and enjoyed many a crunchie biscuit. I then spent today in my jim jams, putting old things up on ebay, here and trying my hardest to get hold of a cheap Canon AE-1 Program, recommended by Catherine. One day I will beat the bidding bullies.

American Apparell High Waist Jean

// Top - COW Vintage // Jeans - American Apparall // Lipstick - Topshops Rio Rio //

When it comes to taking outfit post pictures I always have a difficulty photographing my face. I've many a time blogged posts of my outfits and not included the way I have done my hair or anything from the neck up, it's very rare that I will do so. It was actually frustrating me so I decided to photograph my face and upload no matter what. I had to settle for face only shots because my body and head look so oblong in a all in one shot *oh the frustration*. I look like I am living in a hole but I was mid unpacking from the move when I decided a blogging break was best.

These are my new beloved AA high waist jeans. I NEVER wear skinny jeans because of my big friendly giant legs and the way skinny jeans hugs them makes them look even more spider like. So I opted for some baggier jeans, mainly inspired by my recent purchase of the 'Saved by the Bell' boxset. There so easy to style and I love the 90's look of them. I still feel like my legs look super long in them though, oh well I will have to give it up as a bad job and make the most of my stilt legs.

COW Vintage Playsuit

// Playsuit - COW Manchester // Chelsea Boots - Unknown //

This weekend has been so good, I got to go and see Bastille, Dizzee Rascal and Muse live in Manchester. After moving once again it was so nice to go back to Manchester and actually do something enjoyable on a weekend. I'm not a huge Muse fan although they were amazing, I was mostly looking forward to Bastille and Dizzee Rascal. The atmosphere of the concert and Strongbow provided me with a very enjoyable Saturday.

I adore this playsuit from COW and thought that I would make the most of the lovely weather we had and for one day actually not wear tights. I've worn this playsuit out with heels too and being the bargain hunter I am, I just love that I can wear something casual and going outey. The chelsea boots are from an online shop and were well priced, I can't quite remember which one but I'm sure you'd be able to find similar ones on eBay.

Tattly Tattoos

Recently I have been buying temporary tattoos. I don't know what it is, I'm just drawn to them and now I'm eying up dinosaur ones on eBay. I love the look of tattoos but don't think I would have the guts to ever get one and have it on my body for the rest of my life. I'm so indecisive and would always change my mind but tattoos are there, forever and you kinda have to love them. That's too much pressure for me. So I've been experimenting with fake ones, we all win.

The watch ones are from a company called Tattly but I got them online at Urban Outfitters. After I found these I instantly found the Tattly website and oh my there are so many I need in my life. I moved recently and have even set up a little 'fake tattoos' destination in my products draw, I can feel an addiction starting.

Let me know if you know of any similar sites or fake tattoos I have to get!

dropout wimp

Top - Lazy Oaf
Skirt - Boohoo
Shoes - Topshop
Lipstick - Topshop (Rio Rio)

I spent yesterday wandering around Manchester with my little sister deciding whether we had to balls to go on the skyline. It's basically one of those kid rides you get at every theme park where your sat next to somebody and you just go around in a circle, like a giant twin swing. But the one in town in extremely giant. I went with the guts and came home feeling like a wimp. Once I was pretty much sat under the ride it looked a hell of a lot higher, one of the men working with it stood in the centre and went to the top to fix something, which put me off a little that it could be broken and I could swing to my death. It was a little bit stupid of me to assume my eight year old sister would go on so we built a bear instead and went home two wimps, she looked petrified bless her. But next week I am in town again and WILL go on it, as long as my friend doesn't back out on me, let's hope I have the guts next week too.

Monday

Floral dress

Dress - Topshop
Shoes - Topshop
Lipstick - Rio Rio from Topshop

Didn't mean to make this an all Topshop post but my most worn shoes and lipstick are the ones above so there pretty much all you will see me in. When I bought this dress I had gone into the fitting rooms with 6 other things, saw this on my way out, hadn't even tried it on in store but got it home and loved it, always works that way.

I love the style and print the most, well what else could I love about it? I don't like things that cling or any sort on bodycon so something up and down is perfect. The floral print is just such a pretty style and will be worn to death in the summer. I just can't stop looking at it, just love it so much, ha!

Sunday

Hide and no seek

Yesterday me and my good friend Catherine ventured to the beautiful tatton park to get some photographs for Catherine's commercial shoot as part of her university course. The day was filled with getting partially naked in bushes, almost breaking my neck doing the *hair flick* and falling on my backside whilst Catherine snaps my booty in the air. Thankfully the weather stayed nice and there was no rain in site. A Canon AE-1 was used, made in the 80's and expired films were used to get certain blips of light across the photos, which creates such an unusual effect that I have fallen in love with.

Also Catherine has a website here and is based in the north west in case anybody is needing a photographer then drop her a message, you can see more of her work on tumblr here and flickr here.

I am wearing a top that says yes on it

Top - Topshop
Skirt - Topshop
Shoes - River Island
Earrings - Miss Selfridge

First off I apologise for the state of the background in these outfit pictures, you know when your getting ready to go out and everything just gets turned upside down... well yeah, that happened. But I wore this out last night, I love the top and am a fan of Topshop's new pop/comic collection and like adding a touch of it to my normal style. I'm not a gold hoop kind of gyal but have really enjoyed wearing them recently, even if I do feel a tiny bit ghetto.

Hope your all having a lovely weekend and not spending today hungover, I swerved that one... win.

Crotchet bunting

A little while ago now I was browsing the beautiful misty world of etsy where I came across a lovely little shop called Messy La, I was in search of dreamy room decorations to add that bit of character to a new home. Whilst spending countless hours looking I finally came across this bunting that was needed to add that granny feel I wanted, so a week later I had the lovely bunting up in my boudoir taking pride of place. I'm still in boxes from when I made the move back up north so like seeing a hint of what's to come.
